The Silhouette

The ground is a fine sheer mesh, and everything you see is built on top of it: chrysanthemum and leaf forms folded from glossy satin ribbon and stitched down so they stand off the surface rather than lying flat. The appliqué sits densest across the bust and thins as it travels towards the waist, finishing in a scalloped petal edge at the cropped hem. A narrow banded halter fastens behind the neck, and a concealed zip closes the side. Because the mesh is genuinely sheer, this is designed as a layer.
